The talented K-Pop group ONE PACT visited Prague, and we had a chance to talk to the members before their performance. We were excited to hear what they have in store for their fans and how much they know about Europe.

On the day of the ONE PACT concert, we sat down with the five members and enjoyed the conversation despite the summer heat. The boys had a busy schedule during their stops in Europe, but they made time for us, talked very nicely, and expressed their love for the fans. Even off camera, they are kind. As K-Pop idols, they are 100% dedicated to their profession. We also had a fun “chit chat” about random things.

You arrived in Prague yesterday. How do you like it so far?

Jongwoo: Prague is a very beautiful city.

Seongmin: Very very nice!

Jongwoo: We saw Prague Castle and Charles Bridge already.

Jay + Seongmin: That was also really pretty.

TAG: I personally also like how the buildings are so colorful.

Jongwoo: The food here is great too.

Have you tried some Czech food already?

All: Yes!

Seongmin: Goulash!

You’ve already performed in the centre of Prague. How was that experience? Was it different from the Korean buskings?

Jay: It was a bit different. It was actually the first time we had busking this close to fans. A lot of people who didn’t know who we were and were just passing by stopped to watch us perform. It was really fun to be in that kind of envinroment. Hopefully, a lot of people who met us yesterday will show up today for our concert.

We already talked to a few fans in front of the concert hall. They told us about yesterday’s event and they really enjoyed it. There are already a lot of people waiting for you outside.

Jay: We’re very happy to hear that!

Speaking of performances, what makes a good show for you?

TAG: For me, I feel like, for a good show, it has to be enjoyed not only by us but especially by the fans. I like to feel that we relate to each other, are connected with the audience and we are having fun together as one crowd.

Jongwoo: I feel the same way.

Seongmin: I like it when fans take away good memories that will stay with them for a long time—that they liked our songs and will remember them fondly. Being able to leave an impression on the fans that is so great it stays with them down the line.

Yedam: Same with me.

What does your day look like when you are on the road?

Jongwoo: When we go to a country, I try to learn at least a little bit about the history of that region.

Jay: Tell us about the Czech Republic!

Jongwoo: The Czech Republic was historically connected to Slovakia, but now the two countries are separate. And a very long time ago, the territory was part of the Holy Roman Empire.

This is amazing to hear because a lot of people don’t know much about the division of Czechoslovakia.

Jay: For me it’s actually the same. Specifically, out of all European countries I am most interested in Czech history, like Bohemian era and Hussite wars. I am pretty interested in that.

You recently released first trailers for your new album. What can we look forward to?

TAG: We already announced to the fans that our next comeback album is coming soon. For the concept we haven’t really said much yet or given any spoilers. I am pretty sure, though, that it’s gonna be really different from the previous albums we’ve released. This is the first time saying this, but there are more songs on this album that we’ve ever released before.

Jongwoo: We prepared a lot!

Do you have any stories from your travels in Europe or any so-called “TMI”?

Yedam: Since I love good food and especially desserts, I like to go to the local shops or market in every country we visit and buy lots of sweets, desserts or chocolates etc., and share them with the members.

I can relate, it’s the best way to get to know a place. We do the same thing.

You are all talented in a lot of areas. Is there anything in particular you can highlight or share something that new fans might not know about?

Jongwoo: Me! I personally have a unique charm and that is my variability.

Jay: He has a very wide charm.

Seongmin (in english): A gap!

Jay: Kinda like a gap, yes. Jongwoo can go from very cool to cute.

Seongmin (in english): Thick!

Jeongwoo (in english): Im not sick! (*laughing because he misunderstood*)

TAG: On the stage, Jongwoo seems like a very cool guy, but off stage he does aegyo all the time.

Jeongwoo: WHAT? (*laughing because he was exposed*)

Seongmin: I think every member have this range.

TAG: We are truly self-made. We write songs, choreograph the dance, but also are involved in the “smaller stuff”, like choosing the outfits, hair colors, etc., for the concepts.

Enjoy the concert and the rest of the tour in Europe. Thank you for your time!

All: Thank you too!

Yedam: Stay healthy!

TAG: And see you at the concert!
