Last Saturday in Rome, the GL fan meeting with EmiBonnie became a truly memorable experience. Thanks to Jus in Bello, we had the privilege of attending this special event and experiencing its unique atmosphere firsthand. We were also given the opportunity to speak with EmiBonnie in an exclusive interview, during which they shared more about themselves, their journey, and their experience working together. Read on to discover more.
Your journey together has evolved very quickly — from new faces to a duo that has captured attention all around the world. When was the moment you both stopped and thought, “Wow, is this really happening?”
Emi: For me, it’s when we attend fan meetings. We never imagined that there would be so many people overseas who love and support us. People beyond what we could even see or imagine. Seeing them with my own eyes is really heartwarming.
Bonnie: Most recently, it was during the EmiBonnie Love Session. We had our own stage together, just the two of us, and over 5,000 people came across two days. I never thought we would have that many fans. Seeing the whole hall filled with people who came to support us for who we truly are felt unreal. It was probably the biggest gathering of our fans so far, and at that moment I really felt like, “Wow… we made it.”
There’s a lot of naturalness in your scenes together, which comes across as very sincere. How do you build trust between yourselves, and were there perhaps moments at the beginning when you felt it was practically impossible?
Emi: I’m actually quite a cautious person and not someone who easily opens up or gets close to others. But once I knew we would be partners, we both tried to spend time together and do activities together before filming so we could become closer.
One moment I remember clearly was when we started talking about Lord Ganesha. Bonnie is usually quite quiet, but when that topic came up, she suddenly became really talkative and passionate about it. Since I also worship Lord Ganesha, I invited her to go pray together. I honestly thought about it a lot before asking because I’m not someone who usually goes out or invites people anywhere, but when I realized we shared the same interest, I felt more comfortable reaching out.
Bonnie: I felt that since we had to work together, we needed to adapt to each other as quickly as possible. I’m also someone who tends to be careful around people, but because we were going to be partners and work together for a long time, I knew I couldn’t overthink everything. We both just jumped in and got to know each other naturally.
Filming scenes where we had to be physically and emotionally close also made us feel more comfortable with each other over time. P’Emi invited me to do different activities together, like going to pray or doing little ice-breaking outings, and that really helped me feel more relaxed. At first, I came into the project not knowing anyone at all, and P’Emi was the first person who approached me.

For many viewers, the series Us was a very emotional story about love, growing up, and finding oneself. Which moments or scenes have stayed with you even after filming wrapped up?
Emi: The scene I remember the most is probably in Episode 3, when my character starts realizing her true feelings. It’s the scene where Bonnie’s character gets drunk and I take care of her. That moment stayed with me the most.
Bonnie: Honestly, I remember almost every scene. I can even still remember some of the lines. This was a project I prepared for very seriously, and it was also my first series acting alongside P’Emi, so every scene became memorable to me.
Today, you’re not just an acting duo, but also the musical duo EMIBONNIE. How does it feel to stand on stage together and tell your story through music as well?
Emi: It feels really amazing. I’m very happy because we both genuinely love singing, and it’s something special that allows us to share ideas and express ourselves together. I’m grateful that we both enjoy music because it means we get to do something we love even more, especially when we have someone beside us who shares the same passion.
Bonnie: For me, I think the nice thing is that we each have different strengths, and they complement each other really well. I have a good ear for rhythm, so I usually help P’Emi with timing and beats, while P’Emi has a very strong and powerful high range, especially when hitting high notes. It feels like we complete each other in the areas where the other person might lack confidence.
Bonnie entered the acting world just a few years ago, while Emi already had more experience in front of the camera. Did you feel like you taught each other something or helped each other out during filming?
Emi: Honestly, not really. I never felt like I had that much experience myself because this was also my first leading role. I never thought I was experienced enough to teach someone else.
Bonnie: At first, I was actually a little nervous because I was afraid I might become a burden for P’Emi. But since I had worked with P’Fon, our director, before, I felt more comfortable whenever she guided us. So I just focused on fully throwing myself into the role and trusting the director to take care of the bigger picture.
Emi: Since we already had the director guiding us, I was even more careful about giving advice because I wasn’t sure whether it would help or just make Bonnie feel more pressured. For things like photoshoots, I could help check poses or angles, but with acting, I didn’t want to make her overthink or feel stressed.
Bonnie: At first, I thought P’Emi might guide me very strictly or even scold me sometimes because the first day we met, she was already teaching me how to pose for photos. But in reality, she was very gentle.
Emi: I honestly didn’t teach her much at all because Bonnie was already very good.

Your upcoming series Moonshadow seems much darker and more intense, both visually and in terms of atmosphere, than Us. What intrigued you most about this project, and what new side of EmiBonnie can viewers look forward to?
Emi: For me, this role feels like a transformation because my character is elegant, luxurious, and very different from my previous roles. She’s more mature, calmer, and more sophisticated, which challenged me a lot as an actress.
Bonnie: Most of the characters people have seen me play before were cheerful, bright, and energetic, like Dokrak or Plub. But in this series, my character is completely different from anything I’ve done before. She’s more mature and also quite flirtatious, so viewers will get to see a totally new side of my acting.
Emi: And we’ll also be working with Film Rachanun as one of the three main leads for the first time. The story is very intense and deeply focused on complicated relationships, so please look forward to it.
Your fans often say that you make them feel comfortable and safe — not just through your characters, but also through the energy you share, which may be why your reach extends beyond Thailand. How does it feel to know that your story resonates with people across different cultures and countries?
Emi: From the very beginning, I told myself that I wanted to stay as true to myself as possible. In this industry, you never really know how things might shape or change you, so I always try to hold on to who I really am. If people are going to like me, I want them to like me for being myself. Maybe that honesty is why we can connect with fans so naturally and comfortably. Honestly, I also feel safe and comfortable whenever I’m with our fans.
Bonnie: I’m really happy that people can connect with us through who we truly are. Like P’Emi said, no matter what people tell me to do, I still want to remain myself because if someone likes us for who we genuinely are, it feels much more meaningful and lasting. When fans support us exactly as we are, it feels incredibly real, and we truly appreciate all the love they give us.
People often talk about the special dynamic between you two. In your opinion, when is it most noticeable – whether on set, off-camera, or in everyday life?
Emi: I think it’s because we never really worry about how other people see us. We naturally enjoy teasing and playing around with each other like this. Maybe people don’t expect it, but we don’t try to force anything — it’s simply who we are.
Bonnie: Yes, I think it’s most noticeable in everyday life. In a series, there are still scripts and boundaries, so it can’t be as natural as real life. Off-camera, we genuinely enjoy joking around, teasing each other, and acting playful together. As we became closer, that chemistry naturally became stronger in our daily lives.
Have you ever visited Rome before? If yes, what stood out to you the most about the city? And if this will be your first time there, what are you most excited to see or experience? More generally, how do you view Europe so far? Is there any country or destination here that you’ve always wanted to discover one day?
Emi: I’ve never been to Rome before. Honestly, I’m most excited about buying souvenirs — especially an “I Love Rome” shirt. I really like those kinds of shirts.

Bonnie: I’ve never been either. When I think of Rome, I think of all the famous landmarks and beautiful architecture. I really want to see everything with my own eyes because seeing places on social media is completely different from experiencing them in real life. When you actually stand there, you can notice every tiny detail, even the texture of the stones, and that’s really exciting.
Emi: Being here makes me feel tiny, like I’m in a giant city. Everything feels so grand, and it makes me wonder how people in the past managed to build all of this. I also love watching romantic movies with famous European landmarks, so being here feels almost unreal to me.
Bonnie: The places here are so huge and impressive. One place I’d really love to visit in the future is Switzerland, and I also want to see the Northern Lights someday. Honestly, I want to travel everywhere because I’d love to meet fans from every country and experience different cultures around the world.
Emi: Europe has always been somewhere I wanted to visit. Surprisingly, I feel like the timezone really suits me — I haven’t even experienced jet lag at all.
